SHOCKER: Botox Isn’t Safe

So you’re telling me that shooting the same poison that causes potentially fatal food poisoning into your face might not be a good idea? Golly, I thought for sure the bacterial botulinum toxin was the answer to mankind’s never-ending fountain of youth…

Okay all carcasm aside, research out of Australia is now reporting that Botox causes birth defect in pregnant women. Come on people is this really such a surprise? I mean, no bacteria facials for knocked up chicks seems like a no-brainer. How long do you think it’ll be before they rule out the dummy practice altogether? Very soon, I hope.

Let’s hope the ridiculous “beauty” treatment goes the way of foot binding. AND let’s hope our current obsession with youthful beauty follows right behind it, and fake faces like Laurie’s from the “Real Housewives of Orange County” will be scorned and not lauded.
