7Mississippi: Atlanta’s best ongoing sample sale.

I almost don’t want to write this. As with several of my other little pockets of style heaven, I really want to keep this to myself. But considering it’s great location and amazing deals, the secret’s bound to get out sooner or later. And you may as well say you heard it here first!

Those of us who like a little variety in our fashion diet have always loved the Moreland & Euclid intersection. But since the addition of the Edgewood shopping center, and with Virginia Highlands just around the corner, the L5P area has blossomed from into a super shopping corridor. And right in the middle of it all is 7Mississippi. Think Bill Hallman chic, with a little Psycho Sisters sass, at Target prices. The little shop is packed with designer duds at sample sale prices, including high end denim like True Religion and Citizens for Humanity for under a hundred dollars and deeply discounted Betsy Johnson dresses. Even if you’ve just got a few dollars to spend, you can easily pick up a pair of trendy earrings, or dive into the five-dollar bin to salvage a piece of slightly damaged couture (I got a great pair of bikini bottoms that had no damage at all). Last time I stopped in I was lusting after a cute-as-a-button white eyelet suit by Sigrid Olsen. 20 bucks! And maybe the coolest feature: the store stays open late – I mean, like, midnight or later. So on those nights when you you’ve rifled through your whole closet and still can’t find the perfect thing… 7Mississippi is located at 702 Cleburne Terrace (next to the Majestic).
